Searching for the perfect all-season cabin or cottage rental in New York for your Adirondack vacation? Our Cottage in Benson offers guests the Adirondack experience with charm, convenience, and comfort year round.

Our 1700-sq-foot housekeeping cottage “is not your average Adirondack cabin." It is completely renovated, providing the charm of an earlier time with the amenities guests have come to expect and appreciate as they visit the Southern Adirondacks. From here you can boat in Northville and hike in towns from Benson & Hope to Blue Mountain & Hadley. In the winter, cross country ski at Lapland Lake Nordic Center or downhill at Speculator’s Oak Mountain or North Creek’s Gore Mountain.

The common areas of our Adirondack vacation rental include a fully equipped kitchen (see below), making in-cottage meals relaxing & fun. From the cozy dining area, you can catch views of the Sacandaga River or move to the deck for better views and more relaxation. Both the 4-season porch and the living room are comfortably furnished. After a winter’s day skiing at Lapland Lake Resort or Gore Mountain or snowmobiling in Northville, you’ll enjoy the warmth of the pellet stove.

Steps from the living room is a separate multi-purpose room that can serve a variety of your needs. Its first-floor location with attached ½ bath makes for great privacy from the upstairs sleeping space. It has a convertible sofa that sleeps 2.

In the summer, you’ll enjoy the deck complete with a picnic table, deck chairs, and a charcoal grill. There’s also a fire pit for making s’mores!

THINGS TO KNOW

The Area

The cottage is on a lightly populated residential street right off of Route 30 in Benson, NY.
The flat 4.5 mile dead-end road “hugs” the Sacandaga River and is great for running/walking while viewing great scenery.
It is a 10-minute drive to Lapland Lake Resort.
It is a 5-minute drive to the Northville boat launch.
The riverbank across the street is a steep 25 feet which prohibits access to the river.
There is easy access to the Scandaga River, The Great Sacandaga Lake, Willis Lake and other bodies of water located nearby.

Reservations

Rates vary based on season and number of guests.
The Cottage is available for a minimum of 2 or 3 nights depending on the season and arrival day. Preference is given to weekly or seasonal rentals.
Winter rentals are for the weekend , the week or the season.
Daily rates range from $150-250 plus tax.
Weekly rates range from $750 to $1,100 plus tax.
A cleaning fee may apply
A security deposit & lease may be required.
A deposit for 50 percent of your stay is required to secure reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Winter:
Cancel within 4 weeks of arrival, for "no snow" or any other reason, and an alternative booking with like rates, may be made for anytime during the following 12 months.
Cancel more than 4 weeks before arrival, and a deposit will be returned less a $50 processing fee.
Other seasons:
Cancel prior to 2 weeks, and a deposit will be returned, less a $50 processing fee.
Cancel within 2 weeks, and an alternative booking, with like rates, may be made for anytime during the following 12 months.
